Freda M. Wood, 95 year-old resident of Santee, California, passed away at her home on June 13, 2012. Born September 22, 1916 in Grass, Kansas, she was the daughter of Thomas D. Boatwright and Leona L. Giese Boatwright. Freda was a longtime secretary for her church, First Christian Church of Midwest City as well as a member.She liked sewing; singing; and talking. Freda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ralph Wood; 3 sons, Charles "Bill" Wood; Ralph Wood, Jr.; and Richard Wayne Wood; 4 sisters and two brothers. Survivors include one daughter, Anita McCoy of Sanee, CA; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 at Arlington Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Burial will follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
