Garreline Ann (Heflin) Jurko, 85, of Oklahoma City, returned to her heavenly father on August 21, 2023. She was born February 4, 1938 in Fairfax, Oklahoma to James Milton Heflin and Alma Rosalyn (Baker) Heflin. While she was a life-long resident of Oklahoma, she did spend a brief amount of time in Minnesota and New Jersey from 1968 to 1976.
Garreline graduated from Central State College, now known as the University of Central Oklahoma, with a Bachelors of Arts in Music. She was musically gifted and sought to share that gift as a teacher of vocal elementary music in Blackwell Schools. She also worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Education until her retirement.
In 1960, she married Keith H. Ebert, the couple parted ways in 1978. After a time, she met Robert C. Jurko and the pair were married in February 1989. She made every effort to raise her children with love and support, no matter what.
A sweet soul who sought to make the world around her a more beautiful and loving place, Garreline enjoyed the simpler things in life. A great cup of coffee, a good meal, and time with her family and friends were all she needed to make a perfect day. She also enjoyed using her musical talents to glorify God, singing in the church choir.
She was a proud member of Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church and the Tri-Sigma sorority.
Garreline is survived by her husband Robert C. Jurko; her children Gari Anne (Ebert) Kosanke, husband Robert, of Deltona, Florida, and Keith H. Ebert II, wife Candy, of Leesburg, Florida, Thomas Jurko of Oklahoma City, Brian Jurko of Oklahoma City, Michele Jurko-Lair of Oklahoma City, and Richard Jurko of Oklahoma City; her brother J.
