

Devout Christian, Husband, Father, Papa and friend, Gary Dean Patterson made his way to Heaven on March 20, 2012. He was born in Dimmit, TX March 3rd, 1959 to Carl Dee Patterson and Dorothy LaDean (Garrett) Patterson.
As soon as he could walk, he left Texas and made his way to Oklahoma where he spent the rest of his life. After graduating from Choctaw High School in 1977, he married his sweetheart, Melody Ann (Dressler) on November 18th, 1977 and celebrated the last 34 years. He worked for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent for over 24 years before the Oklahoma City operation closed. A highly skilled industrial mechanic and machinist he quickly found a job at RedBud Energy Plant and was there for 7 years.
A multi-talented individual, he enjoyed all types of hunting and fishing, tinkering with guns, and building things. He could pick up many musical instruments and put it to good use a pickin’ and a grinnin’ bluegrass songs. He was a long time member at the Harrah church of Christ where he was a song leader, and was devoted to providing for his family, and spoiling and cherishing his 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Willie Deel and Vada Patterson and Leo and Mamie Garrett.
To carry on his legacy is his wife, Melody Patterson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Tenia Patterson of Harrah, and Terry and Kristy Patterson of Harrah; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tiffany and Todd Tramel of Newalla, Crystal and Michael Early of Harrah; he loved being Papa to his grandkids, Maggie, Zebulun, and Elijah Patterson, Azariah, Aubrey, and Malachi Patterson, Blake, Cadyn, and Halie Tramel, and Pheanix Early; his father and mother, Carl and Dean Patterson; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Vickie Patterson, and Greg and Connie Patterson; several nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday night at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 Northeast 23rd Street.
Services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, March 24th, 2012 at Eastside Church of Christ, 916 South Douglas Boulevard, Midwest City, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah, Oklahoma.
