George Fredrick Bauer, 86, of Oklahoma City, OK was born May 26, 1927 in Cherryvale, KS, to Christopher Fred and Fannie (Powell) Bauer. He passed away in Oklahoma City, OK August 8, 2013. George proudly served his country in the United States Army from August 3, 1945-April 17, 1947. He worked at Tinker AFB as a computer technician. He enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, watching football, basketball and his favorite baseball team, the Texas Rangers. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Randy Bauer; three daughters: Karen Glazier, Sharon Hensley, and Sandra Bauer; one sister; one brother; and one grandson, Arthur Hensley. His survivors include his son, Donald Bauer of Midwest City, OK; step-daughter, Debra Orr; step-son, David Handy; four granddaughters: Tiffany Hensley, Karen Hensley, Murlinda Hensley, and Lacy Bauer; also eleven great-grandchildren: Eddie; Joshua; Emily; Taylor; Makinzi; Rahndi; Izzy; Kaden; Randy; Matthew; and Sharon. Graveside services will be held at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 16, 2013.
