

Glenn Ott Rowell, age 70, died August 28, 2014, in Kearny, NE. Glenn was born in Wewoka, OK January 25, 1944, the seventh of 13 children born to Carrie & Homer Rowell. He graduated Noble High School in 1962 and also attended Oscar Rose Community College, where he received his Associate in Science degree. Glenn and Alice Eulene Richmond were married on January 18, 1963. Glenn enlisted in the Air Force October 1962 as a Survival Instructor and retired a master sergeant in December 1986. After many years of traveling with the military, the family settled in Edmond, OK in 1982. He worked as a computer programmer from the time of punch cards at TG&Y until his retirement from CSD in December 2009. Glenn & Alice touched many lives through GAK Embroidery, their business they ran from home. He enjoyed woodworking, playing racquetball, coaching little league baseball, coaching, playing and refereeing soccer and recently became reacquainted with bowling, where he made many lasting friendships. He was a member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and a good friend to many from Northpointe Baptist Church. . Glenn was preceded in death by his "Angel," Alice; son, Tracy Glen; parents, Carrie & Homer Rowell; sisters, Maxine Kidwell, Georgia Tarpley, and Virginia Rowell; and brothers, Jim Rowell and Bobby Rowell, father-in-law; Alton Boatright and brother-in-law, David Wilkerson. He is survived by daughter, Dawn & husband Andy Seay, of OKC; son, Kelly & wife Beth Rowell, of Yukon; borther, Harold Rowell; sister, Gaelynn Femig of Norman, OK; grandchildren, Denisa, Robert Lawson, Shelly George, Joe Seay, and Hayden Seay; mother-in-law, Juanita Boatright, of Norman; brothers, Homer & Pat Rowell, Jr., of Norman; Henry & Wanda Rowell, of Noble, OK; and Howard & Dottie Rowell, of Granite Bay, CA; sisters, Betty Karban, of OKC; and Ruby & Kenneth Ives, of Moore, OK as well as his brothers-in-law, Ronald & Ramona Wilkerson of Washington, Oklahoma, Ricky & Tammy Wilkerson of Lexington, OK, Jimmy & Sharon Wilkerson of Norman, OK, Larry Wilkerson of Lexington, OK, Cecil Wilkerson of Norman, OK as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many beloved friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 3 at Hahn-Cook. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 73116, officiated by Pastor Donald Price and Pastor Mark Sinor, with burial following at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
