March 28, 1961 – November 11, 2025
Hali Klein Goss, 64, of Oklahoma City, passed away on November 11, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1961, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Herb and Sandy Klein, who preceded her in death.
Hali is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Goss; her children, Debra Bishop and her husband, David E. Bishop, and their twins, Arch and Sally; Rabbi Alex Hamilton, Chaplain Corps, U.S. Navy, and his wife, Adeena Eisen, and their daughter, Esther; and Michelle Goss. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Klein, and his wife, Patty.
A proud graduate of both the undergraduate and law programs at the University of Tulsa, Hali began her career with State Farm while attending law school. That career would span nearly forty years—a remarkable tenure she had planned to complete on her 65th birthday. During her time with the company, she earned multiple professional designations, including CLU, CPCU, FLMI, and ChFC, reflecting her dedication to professional excellence and lifelong learning. Throughout her career, Hali built a reputation for integrity and fairness among colleagues, claimants, attorneys, contractors, and all who worked with her.
Deeply devoted to her faith community, Hali was an active and beloved member of Emanuel Synagogue, where she served as president and on numerous committees. The synagogue was truly her home away from home, and she found great joy in serving and supporting the congregation. Reflecting her lifelong commitment to Judaism, Hali participated in the synagogue’s adult B’nai Mitzvah class, proudly achieving that milestone in 2008.
Hali’s passions extended beyond her work and community. She loved classic rock—especially bands known for their intricate keyboards, like YES and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Early in the marriage, she loved to travel, visiting places such as Israel, Spain, and Japan. More recently, she found joy in exploring the beauty of America’s fall scenery closer to home. Above all, Hali was a devoted mother and grandmother who coached, taught, and volunteered in her children’s many activities, always giving of herself with warmth and enthusiasm.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Emanuel Hebrew Cemetery in Oklahoma City, followed by Shiva at the home of Debra and David Bishop.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Emanuel Synagogue Pilgrimage Fund, in memory of Hali’s enduring love and commitment to her synagogue family.
