Harold Morse

Harold Morse, departed this life on December 19, 2010. He was born April 20, 1930 in Danville, AR to Arville and Fredda Morse. In 1942 the family moved to Harrah, OK where he graduated from high school in 1949. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War 1949-1951. Harold married Betty Jo Wallace of Jones, OK on May 27, 1953. He and Betty were members of the First Baptist Church in Jones. Harold worked as an accountant for Jester & Associates for 20 years. He was preceded in death by both parents and his wife, Betty. In 1995 Harold married Carolyn Booher Harrell and they enjoyed 15 wonderful years together. He and Carolyn became active members of the First Christian Church in Jones. After moving to Oklahoma City, their membership was placed with WestSide Christian Church where they have served until his death. Harold is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two children, Kawana Sue “Kay” Childers and her husband, Jimmie, of Oklahoma City, and Rusty Morse of McCloud; three sisters, Helen Carpenter, Geneva Haury and Jeannette Coleman, all of Harrah; two grandsons, John and Jeremiah Childers; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the IOOF Cemetery in Jones, OK, followed by a 2:00 p.m. memorial service at WestSide Christian Church, 10145 NW Expressway, Yukon, OK 73099. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the building fund at WestSide Christian Church or to Integris Hospice House, 13920 Quailbrook Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73134.
