Helen earned her bachelors degree in science and went on to be a registered nurse where she started in the emergency room and then moved to the heart catheterization laboratory. She was an intelligent, strong, hard-working woman and could do anything she set her mind to. Helen even worked as a real estate agent while she was in school. She climbed the corporate ladder in the 60’s and 70’s and was even one of the first female drug representatives in the country.
Though Helen was an educated woman, she truly had a “double masters in life”. She was a super-mom through and through. One of her proudest moments in life was raising her three children on her own. Helen had many hobbies that included: sewing, painting, drawing, antique collecting, loving on animals of all kinds, and most importantly, taking her children traveling on road trips across the country.
Helen is survived by her sons, John Fiorendino and wife, Barbie of Flowermound, TX and Robert Fiorendino and wife, Carole, of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Linda Fiorendino and Karen, of Warr Acres, OK; sister, Marie Stephenson of Edmond, OK; and best friend, Faye Luke. She also leaves behind two grandchildren and three great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
The celebration of life in honor of Helen will be on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Free to Live Animal Sanctuary; P.O. Box 5884, Edmond, OK 73083 or at http://freetoliveok.org/donate/.
