Henry was born April 30, 1943 in Choctaw, Oklahoma to Ore Millard and Bertha Luella (Stewart) Stephens. He passed away June 9th at the age of 76. Henry worked as a self-employed concrete contractor for 50 + years. Henry enjoyed going fishing, racing sprint cars and coaching little league football/baseball. Henry also liked going to garage sales and flea markets. He played guitar and had a great singing voice. Henry will be remembered as a giver to others and for giving the best hugs. He was the epitome of the word “ornery” in the best possible way.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Stephens; son, Joseph and wife Shawna Stephens of Choctaw, OK; son, Toby and wife Adrienne Stephens of Little Rock, AR; son, Perry and wife Jamie Stephens of Choctaw, OK; brothers, Millard and George Stephens, both of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Ore Millard and Bertha Stephens; and sister, Bertha “Bunny” Wood.
A funeral service will be at 2:00P.M., Friday, June 14, 2019 at Family Life Assembly of God Church, 12481 NE 23rd St., Nicoma Park, OK. Interment will follow directly at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
