J. L. “Jay” Glass, 90 year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on June 13, 2015 in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Born June 12, 1925 in Caney, Oklahoma, he was the son of Jesse Lee Glass and Lula May Glass. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Jay was a heavy equipment (Crane) operator for many years working at McAlester Army Ammunition Depot. He was an avid outdoorsman loving hunting, fishing, camping, road trips, driving tractors and especially old Western Movies. Jay and his wife went on an annual Elk hunting trip to Colorado for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; 1 great-grandson; and eleven siblings. Survivors include 3 daughters, Pat Neasbitt and her husband Bobby of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Sue Baldwin and her husband Danny of Harrah, Oklahoma; and Mary Fran Norrell of Choctaw, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Leslie Glass of Cyril, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141 with Military Honors rendered by the U. S. Navy Honors Detail following the service. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. the same day at Memory Gardens Cemetery, McAlester, Oklahoma with burial to follow.
