Janice Irene Hunnicutt

Janice was born in Elk City, OK to Michael C. and Henrietta Gertrude (Winthold) Mahl on February 2, 1951. She graduated from Southwestern State College. She worked in the Office of Hearing and Appeals in the Social Security Administration, retiring in 2002. She went on to work for H & R Block for 14 years.

Janice was a Cub Scout Master at St. James Catholic Church where she was also a member. She was an avid seamstress and cook.

Janice is survived by her husband of 45 years Andy; sons, Michael & wife Shannon and Toby and wife Alayna; 5 grandchildren, Anthony Paul Hard, Destiny Rea Hard, Kylie Irene Hunnicutt, Gabriella Rea Jenson, Bayleigh Ann Hunnicutt; sisters Lena Belle Herble, Jo Anne Mock; and brother Herbert Mahl.

The family will receive friends at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. The casket will be open at the church at 9:30 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Elk City, with interment following in Holy Family Cemetery, Canute, Oklahoma.
