Joshua T. Mitchell 28, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has taken flight from this world on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Joshua was born in Titusville, Florida on March 4, 1990 to Lori and David Mitchell. Joshua and his wife, Tawni McGinnis, who was his best friend and soulmate moved from Portland, Oregon to Oklahoma City where they were married and gave life to their precious son, Auden River Mitchell. Joshua was a devoted and passionate father and husband, a loving son, brother and great friend to all.
Joshua was an Account Executive with Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA. He loved his team and his relationships with his clients. He was valued, respected and appreciated by his team members.
Joshua had a brilliant, artistic and imaginative mind. He was a ferocious reader and a talented musician. He would light up a room when he walked in and had an extremely sensitive spirit. Music was his passion. He could play the piano like no other and often said every piano “had its own music.” There is no doubt that Josh is playing the music of peace on the piano keys of heaven.
The beautiful talents of lofty expression in music of Joshua, his sincere kindness to others, devotion to his family and friends, and his generously and gracious spirit testify to his place of significance forever in our hearts. He was a mighty warrior who fought and won many battles though the war waged on. Gone from our midst way too soon, etched in our hearts like a shooting star – Brilliant … fast … falling… fading … leaving us breathless… See you again soon Josh ~~ Abide in Joy. Be at Peace. We love you.
Joshua is survived by his wife Tawni McGinnis, son, Auden Mitchell, parents Lori and David Mitchell, sister, Lindsey Mitchell, grandmother, Ola Mitchell, in-laws Valle and Tony McGinnis, Grae McGinnis, Connie Anderson, uncles Forrest Rooker, James Rooker, Dwaine Mitchell, Steve Mitchell, aunts Linda Rooker, Janice McAllister, Ginger Morrison, and Lorri Johns, followed by many cousins and loved ones as well as fur babies Hans Gruber, Teagan Lily and Aspen Martin.
