

She left this life peacefully, in the arms of her family, January 3rd 2013 at 7:30 pm.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Al Jennings Jr., her wonderful brother, Benny Joe Gilstrap, and her daughter, Juliane Jennings Crutchfield. She is survived by her son, Joe Allen Jennings and his life partner, Cres Contreras, her sister in law, Jo Anne Gilstrap, her sister Reba Lawson, grandchildren Cristy Martin, Craig Crutchfield, and Ryan Crutchfield-Dan., Izayah Conteras, and Autumn Contreras. Her great grandchildren, BJ Burns, Brittney Burns, and Blake Burns, and one great great grandchild, Liam Burns. Nieces, Sherri Swindle, Kathy Strapp, Karla Royer, Melissa Beal Fraiser, and nephews Ken Lawson, and Greg Lawson. Joyce was one of the first graduates in Oklahoma City of the Certified Professional Secretary program and utilized her many talents in the Oil Business, which she loved. She was a true “ Oklahoma Oil Woman” in every respect of the word. She was a member and an executive office holder in the Oklahoma City Oil Club for women. “Desk and Derrick.” She and her late husband, Al Jr., were avid Square-dancers, disco dancers, bridge players, awesome tennis players, and love going to Lake Texoma to their lake house to garden, fish, boat, and ski, and most of all spend time with their grandchildren. Joyce was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, The Red Hat Society Club, that was hosted by Meadowlake Estates Nursing Home where she spent the last seven years of her life.
A special thanks to all the staff of Meadowlake for all the love and care she received. Joyce’s “Prize Possession” in this life were the grandchildren ; nothing was more special, nothing more spoiled! Arrangements are being handled by Guardian West Funeral Home, Visitation will be held Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 12-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, January 7th, 2013 at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at 1:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, OK.
