

Juanita “Granny” Cogburn, 89, passed away on March 3, 2011 while visiting family at the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch in Picacho, Arizona. Granny was born December 9, 1921 in Tupelo, Oklahoma to Aubrey and Julie May (Isom) Archer, Jr. Granny was definitely a social butterfly and enjoyed cooking, canning jelly, beets and salt pickles, collecting hats, traveling, tending to flowers on her patio, and taking a fun occasional trip to the casino.
Granny was preceded in death by her parents; husband Floyd; siblings, Vera, Marie, Lulabelle and Sonny. Survivors include her children, D.C. Cogburn (Lucille), Marvin Cogburn (Barbara), Wayne Cogburn (Rita), Kaye McKinney (Richard); siblings, Sam Archer, Birdie Brown and Wanda Shelton; grandchildren, Barry Cogburn (Carrie), Danna Barrett (Craig), Chad and Misty Cogburn, Julie Foster (Scott), Kacy Presnell (Jared), Kara Gilbert (Dakota), James Clough (Michelle), Aimee and Adam McKinney; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who she continuously entertained with her wit.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Bill Eisenhour NE Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneralhome.com
