

Juanita May Estes Martin Parker was born in 1935 in Oklahoma City, OK and died March 20, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 with Dr. Walter Mullican officiating.
Juanita graduated from El Reno High school, El Reno, OK, in 1953 and earned her BS degree in Accounting from Central State University, Edmond, OK, in 1974. She was a member of Alpha Chi, and a former officer of the National Association of Accountants for the Oklahoma City Chapter.
She was happily married to J.D. Martin, November 1, 1957, in Oklahoma City, OK, and spent nearly 40 years of wedded bliss before J.D. died of Lymphoma in 1997. Since 2009 Juanita has been married to Ernest Bennett Parker.
She was employed as an accountant by Kerr-McGee Corporations, Minerals Division in Oklahoma City, from 1968-1988. She and J.D. moved to Gore, OK, in 1988, after Kerr-McGee sold Sequoya Fuels Corp. She worked as an accountant for Sequoya Fuels Corp in Gore, OK, until she retired in 1990, at which time she and J.D. moved to Longtown community, east of Eufaula, OK, where they built their retirement home.
She was a member of, and attended the Oak Ridge Baptist Church, east of Eufaula, where she sang in the choir. She depended on God to help her through the hard times. Her hobbies were quilting, oil and fabric painting and she loved to travel.
She had been a member and past president of the Piecemakers Quilt Guild. She also had been a member of the Art Guild in Eufaula. She enjoyed doing things for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents and late husband, J.D. Martin. She is survived by husband, Ernest; her son, Mike Martin and wife, Christine of Purcellville, VA; two daughters, Nita Sue Kern and husband, Lee of Coweta, OK and Aleta Kay Martin of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Michael Shawn Kern and wife, Rachel and Megan Anne Kirk and husband, Tim of Broken Arrow, OK. Three great-grandchildren, Michael Blake Kern, Alexis Briana Kern, and Abigail Jane Kirk, all of Broken Arrow, OK. Three sisters, Ruth Jean Dodd of Amarillo, TX, Margaret Ann Christian of Greeley, CO and Nancy Lynn Abshire of Lucerne Valley, CA; four brothers, James Franklin Estes of Oxnard, CA, David George Estes of Ardmore, OK, Laurence Eugene Estes and Floyd Leon Estes of Oklahoma City, OK. She left behind other relatives and a host of friends.
