Katherine passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center Portland Avenue in Oklahoma City after contracting COVID-19 induced pneumonia. She was born on March 3, 1941, in Oklahoma City, to Albert and Mary (Hassell) Fisher. She was a 1959 graduate of Northeast High School and spent the majority of her career in positions that allowed her to spend time chatting with and helping people, first in the temporary service industry and ultimately as a concierge at First Fidelity Bank where she retired in 2008 after 18 years of service.
She is survived by her sons, Greg Nemecek and wife Karla, Jason Nemecek and wife Angela. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Lauren Nemecek, Caleb Knight, Shelby McClendon and husband Grant, Bretton McGuire and wife Erin, two great grandchildren, Arianna and Lila McGuire, and younger brother, Kenneth Fisher. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Fisher and older brother, Marvin Fisher. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff and nurses at Glade Avenue Assisted Living for taking such great care of her for the past several months and to the doctors and nurses at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center Portland Avenue for taking care of her and giving us a chance to see her by video before she left us for her eternal home with our Lord in heaven. She loved her family and instilled in her sons the strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
A celebration of her life will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK on Monday, October 26 at 2:00 pm.
