LaJuana was born in Sulphur, OK, to Howard and Lora Curry. She graduated from Central High School, in 1944. In 1946, LaJuana married Louis Jweid, they were married almost 40 years, until his death, in 1986. LaJuana was a homemaker for many years, and worked at Hoover Middle School Cafeteria, 17 years, until her retirement.
She volunteered at Mercy Hospital over 20 years, was a member of an antique club and loved shopping and Braum’s yogurt twists, as well as the Braves, OU Sooners, Thunder and Wheel of Fortune.
LaJuana is survived by son, Bill Jweid, son, Mike Jweid and wife Ann, daughter, Cindy Douthit and daughter, Terry Hale and husband Roger, along with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. LaJuana was preceded in death by parents, Howard and Lora Curry, husband, Louis Jweid, son, Stephen Jweid, brother, Don Curry and daughter-in-law, Mary Jweid.
