It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry James Cothran on May 11, 2026, at the age of 79, after suffering post-operation complications.
Larry was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on August 3, 1946, to James Franklin Cothran and Viola Blanch Cothran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf, and was dedicated to his faith. Though his exterior was tough, those who knew him best understood the heartfelt love he had for his family.
Larry is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Delilah Kay Cothran; his sons, Larry Michael Cothran, Terry James Cothran, and Bryan Scott Cothran; and his brothers, Danny Joe Cothran, Ricky Lynn Cothran, and Billy Fran Cothran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Vernon Ray Cothran, and several aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Jones Assembly of God Church.
