

Lelah Price Craig left this finite earth for a better home by far on February 5, 2015. She was born on January 7, 1937 to Dorothy and William Nolan Price in Amarillo, Texas. Lelah grew up in Stratford, Texas, attended Camp Waldemar in Hunt, Texas for five summers and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hockaday School in Dallas, Texas. While at Hockaday School, Lelah was a member of the Latin Honor Society and the French Honor Society. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she was in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Later Lelah attended Oklahoma City University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history. Lelah was a member of Phi Alpha Theta as well as the National History Honor Society.
In the 1990’s, Lelah became an avid bridge player winning many trophies early on and became a Life Master in a relatively short time. She especially enjoyed traveling to tournaments and playing with her husband George and others throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Lelah’s favorite people in the whole world were her three sons, their wives and fiancee' and her three grandchildren: Richard Price Coyle and Pam Holliday, Christi and Robert Nolan Coyle, Angela and William Sean, Andrew, James and Daniel Coyle. Her heart was continually filled with unconditional love for her three sons and it overflowed to people all around her. This was especially true for stepdaughter and husband Deborah and Kristian Secor of San Diego, California.
Lelah dearly loved her three grandsons and was so proud of them. Andrew, James and Daniel held the most special place in Lelah’s heart and made every day for her a day filled with happiness and love.
Lelah was a member of the Nichols Hills United Methodist Church for over 55 years. She was also a member of the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club and the Pen and Quill Book Club. Additionally, she was on the board of Oklahoma City University Library, Art Gallery and Opera Societies, the Visitors Board of Hockaday Schools and the board of OKC Town Hall.
Lelah was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a son, James Mitchell Coyle. She is survived by a brother, William Leslie Price, a sister Patricia Roberson (both of Amarillo, Texas), a cousin and her husband Roberta and Jean Worsham (of Houston, Texas), as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Services will be at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church 1212 Bedford Drive, Nichols Hills, Oklahoma 73116 on February 10 at 2:00pm. Donations can be made to Oklahoma City University or Nichols Hills United Methodist Church.
