Leslie Irene Dodderer Shatswell

Leslie Irene Dodderer Shatswell died April 16, 2010 after a lengthy illness. She was born September 2, 1939 in Los Angeles CA & graduated from Del City High School in 1957 where she was an All State in choir. She was gifted musically, played piano and the alto saxophone, she sang and in her youth loved to “jam” with fellow musicians. Leslie loved cooking, fishing and traveling the United States in “The Green Pete” an 18 wheeler she drove for work. Leslie was preceded in death by her parents Charles F. and Alvalea Dodderer. Leslie is survived by daughters and son-in-laws, Dawna & Bruce Johnston, Tara & James Conway, Jacki & Danny York and Traci Bickell. Also by her loving sister Norma and her husband, Leslie’s hero, Dick Garrett. Leslie has 10 grandchildren, Kristi, Christopher, Scharlea, Melissa, Brady, Jordan, Joshua, Ashley, Gabriel and Logan. Leslie took great pride in all her grandchildren and loved to hear of all their accomplishments and the events of their daily lives. Leslie has 3 great, grandchildren, Joshua, Natalie and Cale that she loved dearly. Leslie loved all animals and was a member in good standing with the U.S. Humane Society of American. Leslie leaves behind her beloved cat “Morris”.
