Margaret "Joann" Joan Johnson

Margaret "Joann" Joan Johnson, passed away December 26, 2014. Joann was born June 5, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dr. Vern & Hazel Musick. She attained a Bachelor’s degree in bookkeeping and a minor in business law from the University of Oklahoma. Her hobby was accounting and was an avid lover of butterflies, knowing their names by the age of seven. She lost her father when she was 16, but one of her most cherished memories of him was his favorite passage: Matthew 11:28; “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” She is now at rest. She was a 50 year member of First Presbyterian Church, OKC. Joann devoted her life to her children. She is survived by children, Pamela Kanaly and husband Mike, Willard Johnson III; grandchildren, Shelby Kanaly of Seattle, WA, Lindsey Kanaly, Kristopher Kanaly; great-grandchildren, Khairee Kanaly-Pasha, Fiona Kanaly, all of OKC, nieces, Patty McCullar, Mary Wimbish; nephew, Bill Wimbish. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean M. Wimbish. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
