

Nov 14, 1923 - July 11, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Margaret Ann Wallis, 89, passed away on July 11, 2013. Margaret Ann was born November 14, 1923, in Union City, Tennessee, to Earl and Grace Youngblood. She graduated from Union City High School summa cum laude and attended Murray State University focusing on English, Math and Latin. She married Neil Wallis in 1944, and they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to begin work with Carnation Ice Cream and Milk. They moved to Oklahoma City several years later, where she has resided for 60 years. Margaret enjoyed spending time volunteering with the STARS Program, Baptist Hospital, the Science Museum Oklahoma and attending Jewel Box Theatre productions. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and later attended Henderson Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil; and her grandson, Ryan York. She leaves behind her three children, Donald Wallis and wife Gilda, David Wallis, and Jean York and husband Randy; grandchildren, Taryn Wallis, Devan Wallis, Sean Frogner, Tyler York, and Katelyn York; great-grandchild, Genevieve Frogner; and many wonderful friends. Margaret will be missed by so many. A casual visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013, at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 N. Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, from 11 a.m.to 12 p.m.
