My prayers are with you.  I was his next door neighbor on Mirage St. in Garden Grove, California.  Our families knew each other very well.  I remember Mike as being such a nice guy and would help anyone even as a child.  No words can describe how sorry I am for your loss.

Mike has been part of our family as long as I can remember. Every vacation to the lake as kids, almost every weekend he'd be at the house listening to music having a beer, talking politics and life with Steve when we were growing up. He helped our family move almost every time (and that was often for a while) with no expectations.  I never heard a harsh word from Mike towards me or my siblings growing up, not ever. In fact I remember Mike speaking up once for my brother when he thought the punishment was too much one particular lake trip. Mike was the first male I ever saw cry during a movie, which in turn helped me feel more comfortable in my own skin as a young boy.  He was not perfect but he was a wonderfully kind human. He will be missed greatly. One funny memory,  years ago on one of our summer lake trips I overheard a lady in the camp next to ours asking their partner if they heard the wild animal in the camp last night, it sounded like some sort of boar growling or something" my siblings and I looked at each other and busted out laughing as we knew it was Mike snoring.  May your soul travel swiftly to all the wonderful places the Universe has to offer you.

Michael was a co-worker for something like 30 years.  He will be missed here at the Oklahoma Historical Society. He has contributed so much during his career. 

The truth is that working with Mike Bell in museum Collections is a treasure in my life. He was always generous with his time and knowledge.
Mike set a high standard for the care of the 'stuff' that tells our state's history, but also for setting down the backstories. He enjoyed tracking any little shred of evidence that might fill in the gaps and link an artifact to a bigger story, and always eager to tell the tale when his tenacity paid off. I will miss watching that play out.

My sympathies to Ellen and all of  Mike's  family.

Thank you for teaching me, Mike. You honored me with your trust. See you in another life, brother. 

To meet Mike he was just what some would call a nice guy and unassuming.
To know Mike he had a vast knowledge of history, especially Oklahoma and rock and roll music.
He will be missed by all.
Much sorrow for family and friends.
It's hard to say goodbye to someone you have known for years.

We did so much my friend, the planet will not be   the same with you gone, RIP, Mike, RIP. 

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Mike.  We send our prayers for his wife Ellen and the family members.  

 I have many fond childhood memories of him and his siblings.  Mike was a good man and we will all miss him.

I am so sorry to hear of your passing Mike.  We had some great times in the past and I will never forget you.  There will always be a place in my heart for you.  My deepest sympathy to the family. 

Mike was quiet, unassuming and a "straight-to-the-point" guy.  Conversations were usually short and cordial.......until he found out I was a working/touring musician.  Who would have ever guessed that he was a long-time follower of rock and roll music.  He would travel long distances to see his favorite groups and give me a play by play of the shows.  We spent hours talking about our album collections and favorite songs.  I'll miss that.
