Minerva Louise Wilson, affectionately known as Louise, age 76, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025. She was born on January 3, 1949, to Jack R. Pearse and Erma Louise (Kincheloe) Pearse.
Louise was a woman of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family. She was the devoted wife of Thomas Joe Wilson, and together they built a life rooted in love, service, and community. They were not only partners in marriage but also in helping others, serving side by side at church events, youth camps, and local sports teams. Louise’s fun-loving and strong spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
She cherished the simple joys of life—spending time at ballgames, fishing, watching old TV shows, and attending rodeos with her family. Her heart was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whether around the kitchen table, at a ballgame, or simply catching up over sweet tea. She willingly sacrificed much for the happiness of her family.
Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Joe Wilson; her parents, Jack R. Pearse and Erma Louise Pearse; and several other family members.
She is survived by her children: John Wilson and his wife Keitha, Martha Smith, Tommy Haines and his wife Julie, Shawn Wilson and his wife Heather, Lance Wilson, and Stephanie O'Dell and her husband Robert. She was a proud grandmother to Jordan, Morgan, Garrett, and Gabriel Wilson; Tuesday and Denton Walker; Montana Smith; Charlotte and Freya Summers; Elli, Aubrey, and James Haines; Dalton, Sara, and Zachary Wilson; and Taylor and Shadden O'Dell. Louise is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Rostyn Rosales, Warren Powell, Tinsley Martin, and Charli, Paislee, and Declan Walker, as well as extended family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Additionally, Louise is survived by her brothers, Gary Pearse and Jack Pearse, and his wife Caryn, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her dearly.
Louise’s legacy is one of love, faith, and family. She will be deeply missed, but her strong spirit and the life she lived so well will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
