

Muriel A. Richey-Curtis, 90 year-old resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away November 26, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born November 6, 1924 in Lindsey, Oklahoma she was the daughter of Fred Franklin and Laura (Jones) Franklin. Muriel was a sales agent working in both insurance and real estate. She was a religious person and was active in the Baptist Churches she belonged to over the years. She loved gospel music; playing cards (Uno); wearing hats; gardening, especially growing roses; and was a very social person who never met a stranger. She loved traveling and as the wife of an Air Force husband she got to live in many different places here and abroad. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Sidney E. Richey, Jr.; her second husband Bob Curtis; 1 grandson, Brian Edward Richey; 1 brother, James Franklin; and 1 sister, Marie Hawkins. Survivors include 1 son, Robert Owen Richey of Salt Lake City, Utah; 1 daughter, Phyllis Ann Tynes of Moore, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, June McAuliffe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, John Richard Franklin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Fred Franklin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home. .
