Oleta Meryle Gregg Evans

Oleta Meryle Gregg Evans, 90 year-old resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away August 8, 2011 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born October 1, 1920 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Novel Ernest Gregg and Ovie Ollie Hopkins Gregg. Oleta was a warehouseman at Tinker Air Force Base for many years. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She loved counted cross-stitching; embroidery; crocheting; and cooking, especially baking bread and desserts. Oleta was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Osmer Dennis Gregg and George Willis Gregg; 2 half-sisters; and 1 nephew Stefan. Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Evans Farley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; FaRuth Oleta Evans Pirooz of Katy, Texas; four grandchildren, Roxanna Pirooz of Houston, Texas; Angela Pirooz of Killeen, Texas; Kelsey Farley Andrews of Guthrie, Oklahoma; Eric Pirooz of Los Angeles, California; 1 great-grandson, Jerod McGuire; 1 sister, Leota Gregg Bongiovanni of St. Petersburg; Florida; four nieces and 1 nephew. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2011 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with Mr. Dale Hartman officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12th at Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
