Patricia L. Beard

Patricia Lynne Beard, 50, of Midwest City, OK, our valentine, passed away Sunday February 14, 2010. She was born February 11, 1960 to Thomas William and Patricia June (Harris) Beard in Encino, CA. She attended Channel Islands High School in CA and graduated from U.C.O. and received her master's degree in History on December 12, 2003. She served her country in the U.S. Air Force from March 3, 1980 to March 7, 1984 as a Medical E.R. Tech. Patricia was a member of the Phi-Al-Pha-Theta historical society serving as president while attending U.C.O. and as a sponsor while teaching at U.C.O. She attended St. Philip Neri in Midwest City and also St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, OK and was a professor at U.C.O. She had many interests such as writing, traveling, especially going to Ireland, and loved the beach. She is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Clark in 2002. Her survivors include: parents, Tom and Pat Beard of Midwest City; two sisters: Kathy Gibbs of San Diego, CA and Theresa Eggleston of Houston, TX; two nieces: Chelsie "Ci Ci" Eggleston and Rachel "Nikki" Eggleston; one nephew, Clayton "Bubba" Eggleston; and many friends. A memorial service will be held at Bill Eisenhour N.E. Chapel at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 19, 2010.
