

Patricia Kay Townsend, 70, passed away on December 30, 2025 at home surrounded by the love of her family and loving husband of 21 years, Brad Townsend. Patricia was born on September 29, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jack Spencer and Maxine (Black) Spencer Tucker. Patricia grew up in Oklahoma City and attended U.S. Grant High School. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as a young girl, and during this time of illness looked forward to the time she would go to be with Him.
After high school , she attained her cosmetology certification and began perfecting her skills as the neighborhood hair stylist providing the 1980’s with some of the best perms around. The majority of her professional life she worked as an office manager for her dear friend, Nancy Emmerich, at Studio Art Photography where she met the love of her life, Brad Townsend.
Patti was a loving, free spirit who will be remembered for her creative abilities which included making jewelry, purses, cross stitching, and creating beautiful stained-glass creations. She loved to share her extensive knowledge of gardening and always brought her spaces to life with her love of plants. She loved antiquing and the thrill of finding the next piece to add to her collection. Her love of music ensured the house was never quiet whether that was by singing while cooking or listening to her favorite tunes. She enjoyed making her favorite dishes and celebrating bringing people together. Her absolute greatest joy was her family.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents Jack Spencer, Maxine Spencer Tucker, and step-father, Robert Tucker.
She is survived by her husband, Brad Townsend of Oklahoma City; daughters, Cathie Gore and wife Debra West of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Angela Myers and husband Dave of York, Pennsylvania; son Nicholas Cotter and wife Christa of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter Nicole Billingsley and husband Danney Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother Mark Spencer and wife Shirley of Newberry Springs, California; sister Linda Stocker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, David Myers, Garrett Myers, Jacob Cotter, Logan Myers, Ava Myers, Danney Billingsley III, Riley Underwood, Gage Standifer, Levi Cotter; her great-grandson Hayes Myers; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends she loved so much.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2nd, 1:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral Home, 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73159 with reception to follow.
