

Peggy married the love of her life, Gary Crooks, on January 24,1959 and from that union they were blessed with 4 children. She was very active in their childhood, working in the school, being a PTA Mom, and serving their girl scout troops. Peggy was a troop leader and enjoyed selling girl scout cookies door to door. In 1979, the new GM plant opened, and it moved the family to Oklahoma. Soon, she started working at JC Pennys, in her 8 years there, she climbed the ladder to Sales Manager.
Peggy will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had an infectious laugh and an uplifting spirit. Peggy was devoted to her faith and was a member of Crossroads Church since 1984. When her health began to decline, she would spend her Sunday mornings watching the livestream of the service. Peggy enjoyed western movies, John Wayne in particular, and TCM was almost always on.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gary Crooks; daughters, Judy Crooks-Becerra and husband Jorge, Rebecca Witmer and husband, Daniel, and Nancy Johnson and husband, David; sister, Alice Relford; brothers, Bill Motes and John Motes; grandchildren, Brandon Perry and partner DJ, Erik Crooks-Becerra, Diana “Alex” Witmer, Alex Johnson and wife, Julie, Michael Crooks-Becerra, Dana Bradford and husband, Jacob, Hunter Johnson, and Miguel Becerra; great-grandchildren, Gage Perry, Jaxson Perry, Brayden Perry, Jemma Bradford, Brynley Perry, Joni Bradford and little Miguel. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson and Lillie Mae Motes; daughter, Sandra Perry; and several siblings.
Visitation for Peggy will be at Advantage Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11,2025 from 3 pm to 6 pm. A memorial service will be on Saturday, February 15,2025 at 1 pm at Advantage Funeral Home Chapel, located at 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave, OKC, OK
