In the fall of 1971, Rob met Susan. The more time they spent together, Rob knew that he had met the love of his life. Together, they were married for 48 blissful years. Their unity of two became a family of four with Rob’s daughter, Tamara and son, Kenneth. Later their family became a family of five with the birth of their son, Mark.
Rob’s career began with Wilson Foods, one of the largest meat processing plants in the U.S., as a Clerk where he was working in Cedar Rapids, IA. From there, he and Susan moved to Oklahoma, Utah, Missouri, and Chicago. As an ambitious man, Rob retired from his career in 2005, as the Vice President of Operations. For Rob, working in the meat processing industry was never just a job for him. It was a passion; there was not a conversation he couldn’t have without giving unique facts about the industry.
When Rob was not working you could always find him watching movies, playing poker and pool, engaging in basically any sporting events, or his all-time favorite, golfing. Golf was a big way of life for Rob and in true Rob fashion of be the best, he made a hole in one in 2008.
While Rob had many passions and hobbies, the thing he treasured most was his family. Family time meant the world to him and he always made sure he was involved. From planning vacations, to coaching the grandkids softball games, Rob always found a way to be with family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Robison and mother Katy Kathryn (Smith) Rarick.
Rob is survived by his wife, Susan Robison; daughter, Tamara Spagnolo of Charlotte, NC; sons, Kenneth Robison and wife, Angie of Jacksonville, FL and Mark Robison and wife, Kate of Yukon, OK; brothers, Mike Robison, Douglas Robison, and Steven Robison; sister, Tina Robison; and grandchildren, Shayna, Whitney, Tommy, Chase, Dylan, Tyler, Victoria, and Matthew. Rob also leaves great grand children Makayla and Hayden Hyatt to cherish his memory.
