He graduated from Choctaw High School in 1971, where he was an outstanding student-athlete, lettering in wrestling and attaining many academic achievements. He went on to attend East Central University in Ada, OK.
He worked for the Shelton Construction Co. of Ada, before starting his own company, Advanced Acoustics, in 1979. Roby moved his family to Oklahoma City in 1988 and later worked for United Acoustics of OKC, where he retired from after more than 25 years.
He had a love for knowledge and trivia. Roby was a sports guy for sure, including bowling, baseball, tennis, golf, coaching soccer, and playing indoor soccer. He loved watching college football, pro basketball, and countless golf tournaments.
Roby loved and laughed with his whole heart. He sacrificed unselfishly and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed traveling with his family and seeing the natural wonders and historic sites of this country. He loved having family gatherings and spending time with ones he held dear. He loved learning so much, that he never stopped finding new interests. More could be said but it would never be enough.
He is survived by Debbie, his wife of 44 years, his children, Daniel (Shelly) Tiller of Wichita, KS and Jessica (Tim) Johnson of Charlottesville, VA; his brother Wayne Tiller, nieces Kimberly (Chris) Kizzia and Kelli (Greg) McElroy; his brother William (Belinda) Webb and nephews Jacob (Randi) Webb and Randal (Angila) Webb his brother-in-law Gary Catlett and niece Cassie; and endless more family and friends, all who will miss him dearly.
