Rodney was born on November 5, 1964, in French Camp, California, to Peter Michael Faulkenberry and Phyllis Sullivan. From a young age, Rodney demonstrated a natural talent for working with his hands and a creative spirit that would shape the course of his life.
For most of his career, Rodney worked in construction and proudly co-owned and operated CanDo Construction along with Tricia Myers. Known by many as a modern-day MacGyver, there wasn’t much Rodney couldn’t fix, build, or improve. His skills spanned a variety of mediums — from woodworking to welding — and his craftsmanship left a mark on countless projects and lives.
Among his many accomplishments, Rodney was honored to assist in completing The Wall of Tears, a traveling memorial sculpture dedicated to raising awareness about child abuse and honoring the memories of its innocent victims.
Beyond his work, Rodney was an avid outdoorsman with a special love for fishing. He cherished quiet moments by the water and the thrill of a good catch, often sharing those moments with family and friends. Known for his easygoing nature and quick wit, Rodney was a loyal friend to many and a steady presence in the lives of those he loved.
Rodney is survived by his sister Kristie Bolin of Wichita Falls, Texas; niece Elizabeth Fitzhugh of Norman, Oklahoma, Rachel Davis of Yukon, Oklahoma, Alexys Davis of Oklahoma City, niece Taylor Koonce and nephew Maxwell Bolin of Wichita Falls, Texas. His bonus children Ryan and Samantha Myers of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Shannan Masters of Kingston, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Ryan Myers II, Tricia Myers, and Emma Myers of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Katriona Pine, Adriel Pine, Elijah Pine, of Kingston, Oklahoma and Joshua Touchet of Kaplan, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Michael Faulkenberry and Phyllis Sullivan; his sister Shelby Faulkenberry; and his brothers Robert Davis, Darrell Davis, and Peter Michael Faulkenberry Jr.
