I just heard the sad news of Sandy's death. I have fond memories of her in the short years I worked with Sandy at COP in Bartlesville. We attended a NARO Convention in Albuequerque, NM on year and had a great time working the COP booth. My prayers are with Ken and all the family.

I will never forget how I first met Sandy. I just got through getting my haircut at D'Snipits in Ponca City, and not knowing her, she had been waiting a long time for someone to pick her up (I think she may have had car trouble). Since I was leaving to go south to Morrison, I told her I could take her home. She couldn't believe I would take the time to do that, but when she told me where she lived, I said it was on my way. Cut to a few years down the road, when I needed to meet with her on some Permian Basin DOs, we both looked at each other and said, "We know each other from that night I took you home"! I believe it was in God's hands that we met under the circumstance. As I got to know her, Sandy was a sweet, caring, and beautiful person. I know we have lost a friend her on earth, but God is now blessed with a beautiful angel in heaven that we will meet again soon. To Ken and your family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I'm saddened yet honored at the same time. Saddened that Sandy is no longer here on this beautiful earth with us, but honored that while she was here we had the fortunate pleasure of working with her and getting to know her. Sandy ALWAYS had a smile to share. Ken, I hope all the wonderful memories you have will someday warm your heart and take away the pain. Wishing you Peace.
