She is preceded in death by her father, George Hurr; mother, Hazel (Millet) Hurr; son, Greg Steele; brother, Robert Hurr; and sisters, Wilma Brown and Georgie Moody.
Shirley is survived by her son, Wayne Steele; brother, William (Bill) Hurr of Virigina; sister, Betty Smith and husband, Smitty of Bainbridge, GA. She also leaves behind Becky and Ken Wade grandchildren Lauran Hill and Cameron Steele and Wife Ellen; great grandchildren, Caden Hill and Alex Wade, to cherish her memory.
