

Stephen Clyde McCauley, 58 years old, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Mercy hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Stephen was born May 21, 1967 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Clyde Felix McCauley and Sharlett Short.
Stephen completed his Associate’s degree at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. He worked a lot outside as an EPA water technician and Ranger for the Kaw Tribe. He worked at the Park and Recreation Department of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
He married Tammy McCauley February 14, 2001 in Ponca City. He had five children: Britanee Popchoke, Kanza Huntsman, Tyler McCauley, Stevie McCauley, and Gabriel McCauley. He had two grandchildren: Videl Popchoke and Eren (Innis) McCauley.
He loved to grill outdoors, golf, genealogy, sketching, writing poetry, and travel among so many other things. He donated his time to helping schools, food bank, and various other cultural endeavors. He spent most of his time with family. He was always excited to go to Scottish and Celtic events. He was a member of USCO. He enjoyed his 3-week trip to Scotland and Ireland. He grilled outside under an umbrella in the rain in the backyard of the estate rental. He learned to drive on the other side of the road. Scotland is where he felt at home. His friends Sandy and Pieter were the ones he enjoyed talking with about Scotland. His friend Everett was there for everything else, through thick and thin. He loved him so much that he was considered family.
He is survived by his wife Tammy McCauley, his children: Britanee, Kanza, Tyler, Stevie, and Gabriel, his grandchildren: Videl and Eren, three sisters: Patti, Becky, and Rachel, one brother: Bob, in-laws: Susu and Dale, many aunts and uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robin.
His service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home and Chapel at 8805 NE 23rd St, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141 (405)769-3362. Flowers can be sent there.
His graveside will be held around 3:15pm Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Arlington Memorial Gardens 3400 North Midwest Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73141 (405)427-2453.
