

Teddy Edwin Mitchell was born on December 6, 1949, at home in Lexington, Oklahoma to David & Naomi (Bennett) Mitchell. Tedd spent his early years in the Lexington area before moving to Oklahoma City, where he graduated from Crooked Oak High School in 1968. After graduation, Tedd went on to study at OU and cruise the streets in his beloved Camaro.
Teddy married Laurel Jean Button on October 19, 1971, in St George, Utah for time and all eternity. Their marriage provided them with 55 years of family, love, laughter, pride, heartache, and adventure. Above all else, Tedd loved his family! Seven children were born to Tedd and Laurel: Amber, Arin, Staci Jarvis, Meredeth Hellinger, Bethanie Murphy, Justin, and Andrew. Grandpa's greatest joys were his 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Teddy was a retired MSGT in the United States Air Force and proudly served his beloved country for almost 25 years. While in the USAF, the family lived in Abilene, TX; Madrid, Spain; Pineville, LA; Henrietta, TX; and Colorado Springs, CO; before retiring in Oklahoma.
Teddy was a talented woodcrafter, an all-around sports fan, and a car enthusiast.
His parents, David and Naomi Mitchell, and daughter, Amber preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141, US, on March 25, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 100 N Indian Meridian Rd, Choctaw, OK 73020, US, on March 26, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Burial will take place at Kolb Cemetery, N Midwest and NE 36th Street, Spencer, OK 73141, US, on March 26, 2026.
