Tena Marie Durland Johnston was born on November 23, 1956 in Oklahoma City. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1975 and attended Central State University while working for Local Federal where she pursued a career in banking. In 1993 she moved to Tulsa where she raised her two children, Ross and Alexandra Johnston. Tena was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother. Tena was extremely creative with her scrapbooking and loved to take pictures. All of our holidays were made brighter with her colorful and thoughtful greeting cards she would send. When she wasn’t working in her perfectly manicured garden, you could find her playing with her dog, Roxie, or in line at Starbucks. She is preceded in death by Eugene & Marie Sullivan, William Morgan & Alberta Cronk Cain, Jack & June Durland Sr. She is survived by her partner Phil Turpin, mother Jeanne Sullivan Durland, father Jack Raymond Durland Jr., sister Roslyn Wright, son Ross Johnston, daughter Alexandra Johnston, niece Jourdan Holder, aunt Diane Durland Ford Porta, first cousins Amy Ford Bradley, Allison Ford Lewis, Tyler Ford, many great aunts, second cousins and friends.
