Thomas Ray Herring

Thomas Ray Herring, 73, passed away on July 26, 2018 in Marianna, FL. He was born on January 31, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK to Lamar and Mildred Herring. He was a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and was of the Baptist faith. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vivian Posey; brother, W.L. “Dub” Herring; and brother-in-laws, Leonard Posey and Lloyd Smith. Survivors include his two sisters, Laverne Smith of Brookhaven, MS and Edith Smothers and husband Bill of Marianna, FL; sister-in-law, Darlene Herring of Littleton, CO; aunt, Mary Merkle of Midwest City, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Dickson Baptist Church, 2000 N. Spencer Rd with Reverend James Little officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK.
