Tom F. McEvoy of Oklahoma City passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at age 100. He was born December 2, 1910 in Calumet, Oklahoma to Edward and Ida McEvoy. Raised on a cotton and wheat farm with his brother Bill and sister Agnes, Tom’s parents worked hard to send him to school. Tom graduated from University of Oklahoma Pharmacy School in 1937. He married Nona Faye Brown and they had 3 children: Warren, Tom, & Mary. Tom continued to work as a Pharmacist for over 30 years, joined Toastmasters and took cake decorating classes. He later married Ursula and gained a son, Konstantins. Together they bred and raised German Shepherds. Tom Sr., fondly known as Opa, was a kind, talented and generous man who loved and was proud of his family. He was well liked and active in his community. He is survived by his four children, their spouses, 9 grandchildren (including spouses) and 7 great-grandchildren. May he rest in peace.
