David J. Briggs, 55, of Olathe passed away August 10, 2010. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday August 16, 2010 at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home with rosary prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday August 17, 2010 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Olathe with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olpe, Kansas.
He graduated from Olathe High School in 1973. David was a printer by trade and worked in the printing field his entire working career. He was an avid sportsman and dearly loved hunting, fishing, friends, family and especially his dogs. He was a life time member of the St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
David is preceded in death by his father, John Briggs.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Briggs; brother, Greg Briggs; sisters, Judy Briggs and Mary Smith; nephew, Wes (Carla) Smith; and niece, Allison (Paul) Forese and many friends.
He will be missed by all who knew him and will be in our hearts forever.
