

Edward was born on September 13, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph J. and Mary Tillie (Paluch) Hain.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Beverly “Bev” Hain, son Ray Hain and two brothers Walter and Ernest Hain.
Ed is survived by his children; Sherry Duval and her husband Norb of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Karen Sitzmann and her husband Greg of Shawnee, Kansas, Steve Hain and his wife Jan of Olathe, Kansas and his daughter-in-law Gail Hain of Roseville, Minnesota. Left behind to cherish his memory are his grandchildren Rachel, Sara, Kayla, Megan, Taylor, Easton and Carly as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Ed was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea. He retired after a long career with the Burlington Northern Railroad which brought his family from Chicago, IL to St. Paul, MN to Cuba, MO and finally to Olathe, KS.
Ed enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in their various school and sports activities. He treasured spending time with his family.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 East Loula Street, Olathe, Kansas. Immediately following the services at the funeral home a celebration honoring the life of Ed will be held at the Cedar Creek Club House.
