Ericka Marie Grigsby, 20, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She will forever be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, aunt, and friend to everyone she knew.
Ericka was born on October 22, 2002 in Olathe, Kansas to Albert (Bert) Lee and Kimberly Marie (Larson) Grigsby. She attended and graduated from Olathe West High School in 2021. She was an original Olathe West Owl.
Ericka’s Hobbies included photography, long walks with her dog, collecting sneakers, Anime, music, binge watching her favorite show Supernatural, painting and going to sport car shows. Ericka loved her pets. Ericka’s ambition in life was to become a veterinarian. She also talked about wanting to work with her dad at Entegra Capital. Ericka had an enormous heart and smile that lit up any room she walked into. Ericka had a goofiness about her that made everyone laugh. She will be sadly missed.
Ericka is survived by her parents, Bert and Kimberly Grigsby, brothers, Michael Larson, Logan Grigsby and her two sisters, Ashley and Alyssa Grigsby. Left behind to cherish her memory are her maternal grandparents, Roger and Rebecca Larson of Olathe, Kansas, paternal grandfather Al Grigsby and her paternal grandmother Caroline Brooks both of Gardner, Kansas, uncle Brandon Grigsby and his wife Mary of Port Saint Lucie, Florida and her aunt Connie Johnson of Ontario, Canada. Ericka also leaves behind her three cousins, Gianna Johnson, Jodie Johnson, Makayla Grigsby, her nephew Jayce Larson, her pet dog “Skitter”, her feral cat “Athena” and her pet rabbit “Oliver”.
