James was born December 19, 1948 in Rice Lake, WI to Jeanette (Brendemihl) and Laverne Gilliand, USMC Retired. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and John and sister, Janice.
Mr. Gilliand is survived by his wife, Karen of the home; daughter, Dana (Kelly) Seiler of Gardner, KS; grandchildren, Gareth and Sophie Seiler; sister, Jean (Joe) Heer of Stover, MO; nephew, Jack (Amy) Heer and their daughter Emily of Gardner, KS; sister-in-law Kathleen (Bob) Reust of Admire, KS; 2 nephews Tom Reust of Manhattan, KS and Dan (Fawna) Reust of Topeka, KS; brother-in-law Richard Langdon of FL; 3 nephews and 1 niece of FL; uncle, Gerald Brendemihl of WI and an aunt, Connie Langdon of Overland Park, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in his memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
