I've know Lea for 70+ years, all the way through school and after. Enjoyed playing cards with her at the Community Center and seeing her at many of the monthly class dinners.  Remembering her from our Girl Scout Troop, Pep Club and class reunions.  She will be missed!  Condolences to the family.

My sincere condolences. 
Junie always phoned my mother, her Aunt Harriet,  and brought a smile to mom’s face with every call.  She continued to phone me randomly after mom’s death.  She always had news of her family, especially her beloved grandchildren! I will miss those calls and her happy cat pictures on facebook😿

We grew up together in small town Olathe and continued our friendship to our senior years.  Our class remained close, having reunions regularly and gathering those that lived farther away.  Lea was instrumental in keeping us connected through the years.  She will be missed by all of us.  Prayers for the family.

Lea was a great friend. She was always ready to help in any way in the kitchen or anywhere she was asked to help. She was always in a good mood and always greeted us on Sunday mornings with a smile and a hug.  We will miss her greatly.

Lea was my dear and faithful friend through High School on into adult life.  We shared in good times and embraced each other in times of sorrow.  We shared our lives on the phone most every week encouraging each other, laughing and crying together.  I will miss her greatly!  I can't imagine our class reunion without her presence.
But the most promising joy is that because of our faith in Jesus we will spend all eternity together.  Praise the Lord for His love and grace that will see her family and friends through this separation.
Dawn...I will continue to lift you and your family up in prayer.  My love to you, my special girl!  

Lea was such a lovely and wonderful lady. I have never met her grandchildren but feel I know them. She was so proud of them. She would come back after a visit with pictures to share with all. She was so proud of them and who they have become. 
She loved playing cards and games with friends and always had a smile for everyone.   She will be missed by so many. Love and prayers for your family. Know that she loved you all so much. You are blessed to have her scrap books she made for you with pride and love.   Blessings 

Lea was a kind  and giving person.  She always had a little giggle some where in a conversation.
She was a participating and caring kind, Christian person.  Also, she always enjoyed volunteering for the church family! 
She always shared pictures of her daughter’s family, especially her Grandchildren!
She will be missed.

Lea was such a "rock" of our class of '62, helping with all of the luncheons, dinners and reunions. She loved telling us about her daughter and family and was so proud of her grandchildren. I am saddened by her passing and will miss her. Condolences to her family.

Oh I will miss a lovely friend of 70 years.  She was a joy to be with. I loved her laugh and sense of humor. She loved her family and loved being with her Grandchildren and sharing new pictures. 
She leaves an empty seat at our Class functions!  

Lea was a very special friend and classmate for many years.  How wonderful to share a friendship through school and years after.  

May each of you find comfort in God's arms  and feel blessed with all the memories she and family have shared with each other.

Dear Dawn & Family,
Words are not enough to express how dear you Mom was to me and my family. As neighbors of almost twenty years we joyfully watched each others families grow up & venture out into the world. She was so very proud of you all and always kept me up to date on everyone's accomplishments. I will miss her immensely!
