Marguerite was an inspiration to many people. She was born on a small farm outside of St. Marys, Kansas that eventually became part of the Kansas River. She attended a one room schoolhouse for eight years. She met her husband on a blind date and they were married for 56 years when he passed. They were married in Richmond, VA during WWII during a short leave while Bernie was in the Navy. She lived in New York City were his ship would dock. Most of her family and good friends would call her Muggs. She was also a renowned volunteer. She had volunteered at the Olathe Hospital Gift Shop for 25 years, St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities and the Olathe School District. She was a long time member of St Paul’s Catholic Church. Her favorite things to do were gardening, traveling, and to be with family during the holidays and bake her famous cinnamon rolls. She was dedicated to her family and always had time to visit them when they were ill or just needed Mom. She will be missed by her family and her numerous friends.
