Martin Ray Carey, a dear father, passed away on December 20, 2025. He was a hardworking man with a generous heart who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Helping others wasn’t just something he did—it was who he was.
Throughout his life, he took great pride in his work. He was employed at Lady Baltimore Foods, later worked at Union Bank for over eight years, and eventually followed his calling to become a handyman—a role that perfectly reflected his strong work ethic and desire to help others.
He was a methodical thinker who believed in taking the time to think every step through. He found deep satisfaction in fixing, building, and creating things, approaching each project with care, patience, and purpose. Whether working with his hands or solving a problem, he took pride in doing things the right way.
Music was his greatest passion. He had a gift for singing and could play the guitar or the drums, often sharing his love of music with those around him. Music brought him joy and was one of the many ways he connected with others.
Colorado held a special place in his heart and was always his favorite destination.
Above all, he was a kind and loving father. As his only child, Tyler was deeply blessed to have a dad who always kept a smile on his face and had a joke ready to tell. His warmth, humor, steady presence, and loving spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is lovingly survived by his son, Tyler Carey; his daughter-in-law, Megan Carey; and his two cherished grandchildren, Ashton and Emma Carey.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
“His hands built, his heart gave, and his music will forever play in our memories.”
