He loved his family so very much. He also loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Blue Ridge Baptist Temple. Michael worked for the US Geological Survey for 32 years. In retirement, Michael loved to fish and play golf. He also loved spending time with his family. He and his daughter watched a lot of baseball and football games together.
Michael is survived by his wife of 46 years, Vena Moody, his daughter, Teresa Martin, his grandson, Dylan Martin and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Michael will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula Street, Olathe, KS 66061. The committal service begins at 12:30 PM at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, 23215 W 75TH ST, SHAWNEE, KS 66227.
