Patricia Ann Murphy

Patricia Ann Murphy, 78, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Olathe Hospice House Olathe, Kansas. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.

Patricia was born on March 28, 1943 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Harold A. and Loretta (Hynes) Strout. She attended and graduated Brighton High School in Brighton Massachusetts. She devoted herself to her family and later became a Nurse’s Assistant caring for the elderly. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed dancing, traveling, swimming, crocheting, steak dinners and laughing.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Loretta Strout and her sister Mary Auriemma. She is survived by her children Bernie Murphy and his wife Sidney of Bucyrus, Kansas, Brenda Murphy of Olathe, Kansas and Bob Murphy and his wife Ramey of Olathe, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her six grandchildren Jennifer Richards, Kristina Turnley, Jason Murphy, Amanda Murphy, Connor Murphy, Corey Campbell and eight great grandchildren Corbin Witcher, Jaden West, Jacob Turnley, Waylon Turnley, Zachary Richards and Gabe, Jaxon and Macaiah Campbell. Patricia is also survived by her brother Buddy Strout of Waltham Massachusetts and her two sister’s Dorothy (Dottie) Robinson and Theresa McNamara both of Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Patricia will be cremated according to her wishes. A “Celebration of Life” honoring Patricia Ann Murphy will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Your local food pantry .
