Richard V. Valentine, 75, died peacefully on August 12, 2012 surrounded by his sons. Richard was born on February 15, 1937. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis of 50 years. Richard is survived by his sister Carolyn, his step sister Nancy, his step sister Donna, his step brother Robbie, his four sons, Chris (Jeanine) Valentine, Greg Valentine, Michael (Elizabeth) Valentine, and Mark (Marjorie) Valentine, by his grandchildren, Cristin, Jennifer, Michael Richard, Daniel, Thomas, Michael Joseph, Tia, Jesse, and numerous nieces and nephews. His interests included fishing, bird watching, gardening, and spending time with his family.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Polio Plus via Rotary International, whose efforts continue to fight the eradication of Polio Worldwide. www.polioplus.org. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 18th.
