Rosalie Foster

Rosalie Foster, 83, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Olathe Hospice House. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone she knew.

Rosalie was born on January 21, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri to Katherine Teresa (Drake) and Orville S. Toothman, Sr. She attended and graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, Missouri. She served her country honorably in the U.S. Navy. She met and married the love of her life Robert Foster on July 10, 1959. Together they raised their four children Robert II, Richard, Rebecca, and Rochelle.

Rosalie worked as a medical aide and then as a professional cook -- working in all the favorite restaurants, diners, and cafés in town. She enjoyed watching Kansas City Royals Baseball and any movie that stared John Wayne. She enjoyed spending time with her family but nothing gave her more joy in life than the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.

Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents Orville and Katherine Toothman, her husband Robert Foster, her loving daughter Rochelle Foster-Mock and her great granddaughter Katherine Chase. She is survived by her children: Robert Foster II of Olathe, Kansas, Richard Foster of Gardner, Kansas, Rebecca Fulbright and her husband Bill of Wellsville, Kansas and brother, Orville Toothman. Left behind to cherish her memory are her thirteen grandchildren: Angela Chase, Billy Fulbright, Chris Foster (Joely Foster), Justin Foster, Heather Starks, Aaron Foster (Payton Tettenborn), Kenneth Dorhman, Megan Dorhman, Mattie Kuykendall (Cory Kuykendall), and Joey Foster. Fourteen great grandchildren include Nikita Chase, Aiden Chase, Adrain Hensley, Haelee Fulbright, Henry Fulbright, Elsea Fulbright, Lucy Fulbright, Jesse Starks V, Brooklynn Starks, Bentleigh Starks, Gauge Foster, Caleb Dorhman, Josh Berhenke, and Brayden Kuykendall.

A Visitation service will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home at 105 East Loula Street in Olathe, Kansas. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens at 13901 South Black Bob Road in Olathe, Kansas.
